Just experienced an issue with the Ubiquiti UniFi Controller being unable to adopt or reject one of their Wi-Fi APs because it was stuck in an adoption failure loop caused by installing the UniFi Controller from a backup config on another machine, after rejecting one of the APs.

We have a few devices we fight with this all the time for so here’s the steps to fix. Sometimes the Ubiquiti UniFi controller has devices that’ll show up in the Unifi but don’t have the box for changing the inform URL.
11/14/2019 · I am having a hard time getting a new AP to adopt . I have tried going through the Cloud Access Portal and the adopt option is blanked out.On the Network Controller it just says Pending Adoption Right now the AP is connected directly to a switch and it is being recognized.I attached a couple of screenshots down below so feel free to look through those.

Note: If your UniFi Controller is running remotely on the internet, you will need to allow TCP port 8080 and UDP port 3478 on your server/network firewall for adoption to work properly.
